Rugby Town were punished for an ill-disciplined display to go down Holbeach United.
Valley suffered two sin-periods for dissent with both Lewis Hayden and Jamal Clarke sitting out ten minute spells, with Hayden also receiving two other yellow cards to earn himself a dismissal late in the game.
Luke Avis and Liam Adams had already missed chances for the hosts, before Jonny Lockie opened the scoring when he stabbed home from close range after Town had failed to clear a corner properly.
For Rugby, Sam Lockley then headed over and Charlie Evans curled one just inches high of the crossbar - ahead of Hayden's initial temporary removal.
This man disadvantage did not deter Town though, and Jazz Luckie levelled things up on 42 minutes when he raced onto a long ball to fire his early strike past Josh Carpenter.
However two Holbeach goals within two minutes in the lead-up to half-time did the real damage, with Liam Adams grabbing both when first taking advantage of terrible Town defending for a simple tap-in and then he executed a superbly-taken curled shot past Matt Hill.
Luckie and Evans had second half chances for Town, before Clarke's trip to the sin-bin and Hayden's sending off saw Rugby play a portion of the last ten minutes with just nine men.
