Rugby Town made it two out of two in pre-season so far with victory over Midland Football League side Romulus at the Castle Vale Stadium.
David Kolodynski netted twice in the second half after the first half ended all square against a sprightly Romulus side.
There were first pre-season starts for Matt Hill, Keenah Rosser, Josh Thomas and ex-Hinckley man Drew Kear with Caine Elliott (holiday), Edwin Ahenkorah (injured) and Alex Lock (injured) all unavailable.
The hosts caused plenty of problems for the Rugby defence without the final product at the end of the it before Valley fortuitously led when a forceful back-pass from a Roms centre back was missed by the goalkeeper and ended up in the net.
The hosts equalised shortly before half time from the penalty spot when Loyiso Recci tripped an attacker inside the area.
Kolodynski then netted twice in quick succession just after the break.
Firstly the striker lobbed neatly past the onrushing goalkeeper from Ryan Seal's lofted throughball following Luke English's quick-thinking throw-in.
Then three minutes later Kolodynski chested the ball over the goal-line after MJ Semahimbo's effort was tipped onto the crossbar following Ryan Seal's set-up.
