Rugby Town extended their lead at the top of the UCL Premier Division South with a comfortable win on a heavy pitch at Lutterworth Town.
A goal at the end of each half from David Kolodynski sandwiched a further one by his strike partner Jordan Wilson against his former club, as Valley navigated their way to a ninth straight league win.
Town boss Carl Adams made two changes to his starting line-up for his side's first outing in three weeks, with Keenah Rosser and Barry Fitzharris making their return.
Rugby started well on a boggy, bobbly playing surface and Kolodynski was soon putting an overhead kick to a floated cross from Caine Elliott wide of the post.
Kolodynski was back in the action shortly after with some neat work down the left and from his resulting puil-back a shot by Fitzharris was blocked and a follow-up attempt from Elliott drew a decent low save by Warren Butlin.
Kolodynski was then twice denied after he run through onto Liam Francis's through-ball, before the hosts finally had a shot on-target when Hanibal Sallami put one straight at Matt Hill from a wide position.
An excellent searching cross by Ryan Seal was lifted over the bar by Wilson at close quarters, with the ex-Lutterworth striker also firing over another chance and seeing a further strike blocked by the busy home defence.
Ben Whitehead was another to miss the target with a speculative effort from distance, before the opening goal finally came on the stroke of half-time when Kolodynski expertly finished off an Elliott cross after a fine flowing team move which had originated from Rugby's own by-line.
A dangerous cross by Wilson was just cut out early in the second period, with Stewart Ndlovu then stabbing one wide in probably Lutterworth's best opportunity of the game.
Rugby were getting in behind the hosts' back-line at will though, and on one such occasion Wilson was brought down by Butlin as he tried to round the keeper after Dan Summerfield's long pass had set him free.
Seal stepped up to take the resulting penalty, but saw his low spot-kick pushed away by Butlin to deny Town their second.
Kolodynski's effort from the edge drifted wide, with another strike from him nestling into the arms of Butlin after Valley's top scorer had cut inside from the left.
More effective team play from Town ended with both Seal and Edwin Ahenkorah just unable to finish off an Elliott delivery into the box, with Wilson also unable to convert a decent cross by Kolodynski shortly after.
Wilson did find the net but saw his strike ruled out by a marginal offside decision, before Elliott lifted a great chance over the target after Kolodynski had teed him up.
The elusive goal finally came on 78 minutes, when Seal picked out Wilson and the striker showed good strength to spin his marker and set himself up for a clear run through on goal.
This time Butlin could only get a hand to his strike, before the ball crossed the line to double Town's advantage.
Rugby's third came in added-time, when Kolodynski had a simple tap-in after Loyiso Recci's strike on the turn from the edge of the penalty had cannoned down off the underside of the bar.
