Rugby Town's match at Milton Keynes Irish was abandoned mid-way through the first half due to floodlight failure at Pavilion Manor Field.
With Rugby knowing victory was required to take the title race to the final day, the abandoned game will cause a headache to get the game played before the end of the season.
A re-arranged date will be announced shortly.
Both teams had started the game in a very sprightly fashion with both sets of forwards causing problems early on for the respective defences.
MK captain Tyriq Ward came closest for the hosts when he volleyed a low effort wide at the far post while Luke English and Caine Elliott saw deflected efforts go agonisingly wide for Rugby.
Loyiso Recci also headed against the bar from a corner before the game was prematurely brought to an end on 21 minutes when most of the floodlights failed and once it was clear they were not going to be coming back on the referee called time.
