Rugby Town suffered defeat in their second pre-season friendly at UCL Premier Division South side Racing Club Warwick.
After a fairly strong first half showing which saw youth graduate Ryan Sahota open the scoring early on for Rugby, the plethora of second half substitutes had a bigger effect on the visitors as Warwick ran away with victory against a Valley side containing multipe trialists.
Loyiso Recci returned for his first outing of pre-season while trialist Karabo Motshweni had a starting berth in midfield with Kyle Burke, Edwin Ahenkorah, Tom Fielding and Dan Summerfield all unavailable.
Motshweni put an effort over the bar from close range early on before Jordan Wilson combined well with Motshweni to release David Kolodynski to assist with a low cross for Ryan Sahota to open the scoring from six yards.
Sahota, Luke English, Kolodynski and Wilson all came close again before Liam Francis did have the ball in the net from English's cross but it was chalked off for offside.
In the second period, Rugby's new look line-up struggled to live up to the first half levels and Warwick were soon level when Cameron Ebbutt scored with long-range free-kick.
Connor Mort finished off a swift counter-attack from close range before a Warwick trialist nipped ahead of Valley's stranded trialist goalkeeper outside the area before finishing off.
