Rugby Town fell to a fourth successive league defeat away to Coleshill Town.
Loyiso Recci had levelled things up from the spot on 51 minutes after the hosts had taken a goal lead into the interval, but the state of parity was short-lived when the home side soon scored again and then Valley's fate was sealed when their defence was too easily cut open once more before the end.
There was only one change from the narrow home defeat to Coventry Sphinx a week previously, with Karabo Motshweni in for the injury-affected Ryan Sahota, and Rugby made a sluggish start on the artificial playing surface.
Oscar Tonge and Rob Evans both put in off-target shots for the hosts from their respective wings, with Town keeper Nykah Liburd-Hines also turning a low shot from Ashton Demulder around his post.
Theo Rowe lifted one over, before Rugby finally got into their stride and started to cause problems for the Coleshill back-line.
A Valley counter saw strike duo Jordan Wilson and Edwin Ahenkorah briefly outnumber the opposition, but Evans was ultimately back to deflect away Ahenorah's strike to his partner's lay-off.
Liam Francis's header to a Motshweni corner was then cleared off the line by Tonge, with a dangerous Luke English long-throw into the box subsequently requiring home keeper Paul Hathaway to claw the ball away from the frame.
However, Coleshill opened the scoring against the run of play when Rowe ran on to Giovanni Dainty's pass to cut inside and curl the ball into the top corner, with Rugby left appealing for a push by Dainty on Roger Lee in the build-up.
Barry Fitzharris could have sent the teams in level, but his volley on the turn from a dangerous position lacked power and was easily gathered by Hathaway, with Francis guilty of the same after the restart when he scuffed his low shot straight at the keeper after a neat move involving Motshweni and Wilson.
Another free-flowing foray from Town shortly after ended with Ahenkorah being fouled by Harry Higginson in the box though, with Recci successfully assuming spot-kick duties to fire the ball into the bottom right corner.
The hosts eased back in front three minutes later when Tonge threaded his pass through to George Washbourne to score from a tight angle, and apart from a Dan Summerfield cross that drifted just beyond Ahenkorah, Valley never really looked like getting back into the game again thereafter.
Demulder should have added a third when he guided one wide after he found himself through on goal, after what appeared to be another Dainty push in the back - this time on Francis - was ignored by the officials, and then Rowe's effort was deflected over the bar.
Rowe did grab his second of the afternoon on 75 minutes, when he ran onto another neatly delivered ball into the left channel, before applying a well-executed finish past Liburd-Hines.
Tonge flashed one across the face of the goal and Coleshill sub Matt Gardner also put one wide ahead of the final whistle.
