Rugby Town suffered another heavy home defeat, despite taking an early lead at Butlin Road against Quorn.
Jordan Wilson had even given Valley a fifth-minute advantage against Quorn, but it was a familiar story thereafter for Carl Adams's side as they failed to capitalise on their promising start and then let things slip as the game progressed.
Josh Thomas returned to the Rugby defence as part of a central trio in the only change from an identical 4-1 reverse in Town's last game against Hinckley two weeks previously, with recent signings Madundo Semahimbo and Roger Ngaah Bosio both on the Town bench.
The hosts were quickly out of the block, with Wilson powering in an excellent finish off the crossbar after neat touches before that from Ryan Sahota and David Kolodynski.
Quorn had early chances of their own too though, with Thomas executing a timely clearance to sweep away Paddy Webb's cross and then Cain Noble put his effort on the turn just wide of the frame.
Wilson could have added to his tally on two separate occasions, but was denied each time by the legs of visiting keeper Charlie Woods after first Demico Burton had played him in and then Kolodynski's clever flick had released him behind the back-line.
Kolodynski looped one over the bar, before having a further shot from a tight angle blocked, with the end-to-end nature of the game continuing as Nykah Liburd-Hines saved another Noble strike and a Webb shot was also blocked away.
Quorn's equaliser came on 28 minutes when Webb ran onto Courey Grantham's pass to fire low past Liburd-Hines, with the dangerous Charlie Marzano going close to giving his side a half-time advantage when he put one into the side netting from a threatening position.
Rugby started the new period in encouraging fashion once more, and Woods was in fine form to first push away James Mace's volley to Chris Clements's free-kick and then to pull off an acrobatic save to keep out a subsequent direct free-kick strike by Clements after Wilson had been tugged back on the edge of the box.
The visitors slowly took charge of proceedings however, with Charlie Gough heading one over and both Graham and Devon Kelly-Evans having shots in the penalty area blocked away.
The goal came on 75 minutes when Marzano floated a cross to the back post to allow Noble to head into an unguarded net, and Noble was soon extending Quorn's lead when he capitalised on Mace's poorly hit back pass to skip past Liburd-Hines and roll the ball home.
Kolodynski's poor effort from distance after Wilson's header had found him in space offered the home side some hope, but this soon evaporated when Webb fired in the fourth with a great strike from an angled position.
The returning Semahimbo struck a long ranger high and wide of the target before the end of the game, whilst Quorn sub Ant Carney saw his goalbound effort blocked on the line by Thomas and Noble missed out on a hat-trick when he headed wide late on.
