Youth Graduate Sahota Signs Deal
Rugby Town are delighted to announce that youth team graduate Ryan Sahota has put pen to paper on a contract.
The 18-year-old has signed a one-year deal to keep him at Butlin Road until May 2024 after an impressive season with the youth team in the Midland Floodlit Youth League.
Ryan signed first team forms in November 2022 and made his debut against Wolves in the Birmingham Senior Cup.
Operating from an advanced midfield position, Ryan shone for Valley's youth side scoring 11 league goals in 14 games.
Ryan will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of previous youth graduates such as including the club's all-time record goalscorer David Kolodynski, who scored over 270 goals in over 500 appearances for Rugby since making his debut in 2006 as well as Justin Marsden who has amassed 368 appearances scoring 78 goals.
Other recent first team squad members who have moved up from the youth team include midfielder Caine Elliott, goalkeeper Ash Bodycote and forward MJ Semahimbo. |
