Rugby Town maintained their recent resurgent form to see off their local rivals Coventry Sphinx at Butlin Road.
Valley's latest victory meant it was back-to-back 3-0 victories for Grant Joshua's men, with all of the game's goals coming after the interval following a relatively quiet and even first period.
Town were unchanged from the win at Sutton Coldfield earlier in the week, although Stan Anaebonam and Ethan Hanson were both back in the matchday squad on the bench in place of Dan Shaw and Callum Griffin.
The visitors - who had topped the table a month previously after seven games played - arguably edged the opening exchanges, with ex-Valley midfielder Devonn O'Sullivan only just unable to get full control of Matty Bowman's cross to the back post, and a Harvey Smith low shot from distance drifting well wide.
Sphinx striker Damian Kelly also headed one off target, before Rugby created a great chance for the opener when Sam Tye squared a cross over to Cairo Taylor in front of goal, but he struggled to get the ball out of his feet properly and his effort was smothered away by Coventry keeper Charlie Woods - with Harrison Nee then dragging a follow-up strike beyond the post.
Rivel Mardenborough then showed good control in the box to set himself up for a shot which was blocked, before the same player again displayed a deft touch only to see his effort this time deflected away for a corner.
Nathan Kabeya's incisive pass through the middle of the away defence was cleared by the head of the onrushing Woods with Taylor poised to pounce, and a Taylor header to Greg Tempest's free-kick lacked the power to trouble Woods shortly after.
At the other end, Kelly was first denied by a block and a clearance from Josh Thomas, and then later he fired one way over the frame from the edge of the area.
An uneventful period of play followed, although Mardenborough did put in a couple of threatening crosses from out wide, with the final two chances of the first-half going to the visitors, when Jordan Hayward's strike from a tight angle was gathered by Marcus Bald, and then Finlay Shorrock's free-kick was comfortably caught by the Rugby glove-man.
If the first-half had been a close affair, then the second was most definitely Rugby's, and the deadlock was broken on 48 minutes when Tye followed up on Woods's save of Caine Elliott's penalty after Patrick Zito had illegally halted Mardenborough's dash into the box.
A Taylor shot lacked the power to trouble Woods after the increasingly-influential Tye had laid the ball back to him, with Nee then missing a glorious opportunity to double the hosts' lead when he blazed way over with the goal gaping after the impressive Mardenborough had initially headed Tye's hooked cross against the post.
Zito and Mardenborough then tangled in the penalty area for a second time, but this time Town's appeals for a penalty were rejected, whilst Kelly flashed a low delivery across the face of the Rugby goal as a reminder of the fragile nature of their advantage.
Valley did stretch further ahead on 74 minutes though, when Tempest's corner to the back post was met by Tye - who duly headed it back across the goalmouth for Thomas to nod in from close range.
Woods then pushed a Tempest free-kick away after the busy Sphinx keeper had handled just outside the box, and the home side's dominance continued with Mardenborough showing great speed to run onto Geoffrey Lundoloki's defensive clearance before having a shot blocked and lifting the rebound over the bar.
With less than ten minutes of the half remaining, Coventry finally managed to create a chance of note when Kyle Carey got in behind the left hand channel and looped a cross over for sub Djibril Diedhiou to strike one, but Bald was well-positioned to keep it out.
Rugby's third came on 85 minutes when Anaebonam capitalised on Zito's inability to deal with a high ball by scooping it over Woods and hammering home - with Bald registering his second assist of the campaign from his long forward punt.
Sphinx squandered a couple of decent opportunities for a late consolation, with Kelly somehow smashing the ball over after Jamie Draper had headed one across to him, and Iddriss Fuseini shooting straight at Bald.
