Town's sorry season was suitably summed up by heavy defeat at their Rugby rivals on the final day of the season.
The hosts secured an inaugural CV21 derby double with three quickfire goals late in the second-half harshly rubbing salt in Town's relegation-induced wounds.
Valley manager Grant Joshua made one change as Ryley Nicholson returned from injury to replace Fabian Stolowski.
Caine Elliott's shot early on was saved well by Marcus Bald, before Borough took the lead when Daniele Reka finished off Gary Stohrer's low cross.
Harrison Nee's decent effort for Town was blocked and Stohrer was denied by Charlie Woods's point-blank stop before the interval.
The second half was fairly uneventful ahead of Borough's second on 73 minutes when Cam Collins fired home after Town failed to clear a corner, with Tyrell Waite's shot on the turn soon making it three.
Collins smashed one off the underside of the bar, before Stohrer guided into the bottom corner to round things off on 85 minutes.
