League Fixtures 25/26

The Pitching In Northern Premier League has released the full fixtures for Rugby Town's 2025/26 campaign.

The league season kicks off the visit of Carlton Town, who have been transferred from the NPL East, on Saturday 9th August.

Carlton visited Butlin Road last season in the FA Trophy First Qualifying Round and prevailed on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

Valley have been unbeaten on the opening day for the last nine seasons now including wins in the last three campaigns.

Rugby travel to Wellingborough Town in the first away league trip of the season on Tuesday 12 August.

The first competitive game kicks off a week before the league fixtures start in the Emirates FA Cup with a trip to Coton Green.

The highly-anticipated first competitive Rugby derby between Valley and Borough will take place on Saturday 29 November at Butlin Road with the return trip to Kilsby Lane planned for the last day of the season.

The traditional Boxing Day fixture will see relegated Mickleover visit Butlin Road with the reverse fixture on Easter Monday in April.

Rugby will host Shepshed Dynamo on the August Bank Holiday fixture with the return game on New Year's Day.

Rugby will play a third successive season in the NPL Midlands after a reprieve despite initially being relegated last season.

The FA reprieve came when Hinckley Leicester Road withdrew from the NPL Midlands in early June and entered voluntary liquidation, creating a vacancy at Step Four which was offered to Valley, as the highest-placed relegated side from the division.

Some of the fixtures early in the season will be subject to change depending on progress of teams in the FA Cup and FA Trophy.
