Rugby Town cruised into the next round of the FA Vase with a big win over Tuffley Rovers at Butlin Road.
Valley proved too strong for their Hellenic League Premier visitors from Gloucester and clocked up an eighth successive win in the process of earning a place in the Second Round Proper.
Corey Warrington missed a glorious chance for the visitors after a swift counter attack as he lifted his shot over the bar from seven yards with the goal at his mercy while Aaron Nuttall blazed over after a superb solo run into the box.
Rivel Mardenborough did open the scoring ten minutes before half time when he followed up to score the rebound after goalkeeper Charlie Seager had parried Lewi Burnside's low shot from outside the box.
Burnside then got on the scoresheet himself when he swept Zidan Sutherland's low cross into the corner of the net first time following a good cross-field pass by Charlie Tilley.
It was then Sutherland's turn to go from provider to scorer when he drilled a low, angled shot beyond Seager into the corner of the net just after half time.
The fourth goal was the result of a delightful move which ended with Mardenborough's delicate touch setting up Sam Tye in the box and Rugby's top scorer made no mistake in taking his tally for the season to nine.
Nuttall's excellent wing play resulted in the fifth goal when his run and low cross resulted in full back Ellis Clifford putting through his own net.
And the day was ended on a particularly positive note when Rugby Town Academy prospects combined from the substitutes' bench for the sixth and final goal of the game when Hudson Petkovic provided the low cross from the right for Dylan Cook to finish for his first senior goal.
