Rugby Town made it five league wins on the bounce with a dominant win at Yaxley.
Valley's impressive goal return of late continued at Leading Drove with six more, as Charlie Tilley, Sam Tye (2), Zidan Sutherland, Aaron Nuttall and Ryan Boothe were all on target to strengthen Town's position within the UCL Premier South play-off zone.
There were two changes from the previous weekend's victory at Sileby Rangers, with Devonn O'Sullivan replacing the unavailable Lewi Burnside at full-back and Rivel Mardenborough back in place of the injured Jake Duffy.
Yaxley had the first goal attempt of the afternoon though, when Branon Jessop shot found the side-netting, although Town were soon on their game with Hisham Chiha's threatening free-kick to the far post claimed by home keeper George Anthony, before Tilley steered one just wide after Nuttall had laid the ball back to him.
For the second week running, Valley were ahead within ten minutes with Tilley finishing off a crisp attacking move involving Jake Wormleighton, Mardenborough and Tye with a neat first-time strike into the bottom corner.
Mardenborough's off-target effort soon followed, as did a lively run and shot from Nuttall - which Anthony did well to parry away. Tye made it two when he slid onto Sutherland's low, hard cross to the far post, with Sutherland going close himself with a volley into the ground that bounced wide.
For Yaxley, Scott Waumsley had two chances in quick succession, but first his shot was blocked after Ash Bodycote had failed to claim a high ball swirling in the wind, and then the striker headed one wide.
Sutherland did gain reward for his early endeavours though with an excellent solo goal which saw him break from deep in his own half before firing past Anthony.
Sutherland almost grabbed another shortly after when Tye chipped the ball through - only to see Anthony out well to deny him.
Bodycote then gathered an Isaac Kyereme shot at the second attempt, and the Valley keeper also pulled off a decent stop to keep out a well-struck effort from Kieran Hibbins - with Archie Ellington blazing a rebound attempt over.
The hosts did grab themselves a potential lifeline as the first-half drew to a close though, after O'Sullivan was punished for a trip on Kieran Hibbins in the box, with Waumsley just squeezing his penalty past Bodycote.
However, Rugby managed to restore their three-goal advantage before the interval when Tye made it six goals in six games by powerfully heading home Chiha's corner on the stroke of half-time.
Valley's general dominance continued from the restart, with Mardenborough dragging his shot wide after Nuttall had pulled the ball back to him.
Anthony saved further efforts from both Sutherland and Tye, and a Tilley strike was blocked, before Rugby scored their fifth of the game when Nuttall converted into an empty net after Mardenborough had done well on the right byline on 53 minutes.
The remainder of the second half was understandably played at a slower tempo, although O'Sullivan, Sutherland, Tilley and Mardenborough did all have chances to add to Town's tally, before sub Boothe rounded things off late-on by netting from six yards after an impressive, incisive run from fellow replacement Harrison Nee - who was returning to a Rugby squad for the first time in a month.
