Ash agreed to join for his third spell at Butlin Road in June 2026 from Northampton Sileby Rangers.
Since his last spell the 27-year-old goalkeeper won the UCL Premier South with Wellingborough Town in 2023 and then featured 20 times in the NPL Midlands including a 3-0 win over Valley at Butlin Road.
Last season Ash played for Daventry Town and Sileby Rangers.
Ash originally signed first team forms in August 2015 after a sudden call up to the squad and a 16-year-old Bodycote was thrown in at the deep end on the eve of an FA Cup fixture with Coventry Sphinx keeping a clean sheet before also featuring in a league game at Basford.
Bodycote left to join Rugby Borough in March 2018 but rejoined Valley in September 2021 from Long Buckby.
The goalkeeper impressed on his return to his hometown club and signed a contract in February 2022 to keep him at the club until May 2023.
Ash spent most of the 2022/23 season on loan at fellow UCL Premier South side Cogenhoe United where he made 26 appearances as they got through to the Northants County Cup final at the Sixfields. |
