Bedford Town re-joined Rugby in the BGB Premier Division in the 2006/7 season after suffering a relegation in their first season in the Conference South.

They gained promotion through the play-offs in the 2005/6 season when Rugby recorded two big wins against the Eagles since.

Firstly, Kevin Slinn scored a hat-trick in a 5-2 victory in November 2005 at Butlin Road and in September 2007 Valley recorded a 5-1 win with Ashley Blake netting against his former club like Slinn did.

Most recently, Rugby were on the wrong end of a 1-4 defeat to Bedford at Butlin Road & a 1-3 reversal at the New Eyrie in March 2010.
